Good nutrition

“You are what you eat”, is a famous saying, that I believe in, to an extent, because anyone can approve that I didn’t turn to a pizza yet, in spite of my admiration for pizza 😁.

What I believe about this saying is the fact that your food, nutrition, and diet effects you in a big big way, studies have shown that healthy food can improve your general health, physique, mental health, and sexual health.

It can help your immune system guarantee you a more illness free life, it can help your physique and strength especially if you work out because of all the good raw protein and vitamins you can get, studies also have shown it can boost your mental health and happiness because obviously the better your body feels the more happy you will be about it, and there is many scientific reasons also, and do I really have to explain why it can help your body sexually?

All these facts can’t be denied, and it is a shame to waste on all of these natural benefits, but we all love our junk and guilty pleasure foods, don’t we? So should we just stop eating them now?

The answer is no, I am not asking you to stop junk food all of a sudden, I myself still enjoy the occasional pizza every now and then, but what I am asking you to do is to focus more on the quality of the food you eat, you don’t need to lower your amount of food either if you are comfortable with your body weight and physique, but the quality of your food matters like the quality of your clothing, the better your food is the more beneficial it will be to you, and the more it will help you to look better.

You can do this by changing your normal food to it is healthier versions, for example you can start eating oatmeal instead of cornflakes, fruits instead of sweets, oven-cooked chicken instead of fried chicken, and so on, this way you still can enjoy your food while benefiting your body, and healthy food doesn’t necessarily mean plain tasteless food, there is a lot of tasty healthy food out there, you just need to do your search.

Another important thing is to mix your food, for example if you ate oatmeals for breakfast today, you eat eggs tomorrow, so your body can benefit from the different nutrients in each one of them, so don’t you stick to one type of food, for example you can do a schedule for yourself, where you eat chicken on Saturday, rice with some kind of sauce, masala, or vegetables on Sunday, steak on Monday, your favorite kind of pasta on Tuesday, fish on Wednesday, any healthy food you want to eat on Thursday, and you can cheat in a sensible way on Friday, in this way you can make sure your body is getting all the nutrients it needs throughout the week without building up a lot of fat because firstly your food is healthy, secondly you are not eating the same thing again and again.

In my opinion the best way to set yourself a proper diet is to consult a nutrition doctor, it is their job to give you the best diet for your body, so one or two visits won’t harm you because you will get a diet that benefits you for a long time, so you can eat what you love while being healthy, but if you can’t afford going to a nutrition doctor you can learn about food and nutrition online, and you can make your own diet after learning enough information or follow an existing one, but the reason why I don’t trust the internet is the fact that not everything your read is necessarily 100% true, and some of the diets you can read online can harm your body or not be beneficial to your type of body, so it is always better to consult the doctor.

Now hold on before you start stacking on your protein bars, because you need to keep in mind that not everything that is marketed as healthy is necessarily healthy, a lot of the products that are so called healthy like protein bars, gatorade, and even restaurants like subway, can harm you, for example protein bars and gatorade are meant for people who do extreme or hardcore workouts, so any normal health loving citizen don’t need this, and some of the stuff you eat at subway are not healthy because they are either processed or have chemicals in them, so always make sure you understand what you are eating rather than trusting the slogan of “it is healthy “.

Most importantly though you need to enjoy your food, there is no point in maintaining a healthy diet if you hate it, so if you want to maintain a healthier diet you need to find a good way of implementing healthy foods that you like or love in your diet, so you don’t get bored or fed up, because eating healthy is a way of life, and if you want to keep it you need to enjoy what you are eating, so you either learn to enjoy a certain food or replace it with another thing that is also healthy.

Finally gentlemen, yes it might be hard to stop eating burgers, fries and pizzas regularly, especially when they are so damn delicious and comforting, but trust me as soon as you start getting used to eating healthy, and you start feeling your body working in a much better pace, you won’t regret the decision of eating healthy, and you still can cheat once a week or two by enjoying whatever you like but be sensible so you don’t waste everything you have done throughout the week to keep yourself healthy.

Make your decision gentleman, do you want to feel good and young forever? If yes, then good nutrition is a must! 🍎👍

100% agree on the Nutrition Doctor (Dietician :P).

Most of them have done extensive research into various diets, and continue to stay up to date on the latest studies into nutrients and nutrient sources, i.e. the latest craze “Superfoods” in order to provide the most relevant advice they can.

I can’t stress enough the importance of doing your own research before jumping into a fad diet such as Atkins or HCLF that advocate cutting out whole food groups! And by research I don’t mean one or two webpages written by those who follow said diet, but research papers and studies on the diets which are more independent (do your research into how the study was funded, who the researchers are etc).

Great advice. Nutrition is super important for staying young and spry well into your 30s and beyond. Green vegetables, nuts, beans, and seeds. Drink lots of water too. Nice post.

  10. The schedule idea is brilliant! I’ve never thought about that but planning your meals would be a great idea to include oily fish and other essential foods, it will also help shopping! It’s one of those things I can’t believe I didn’t think of it! This post was great and my favourite food is vanilla and honey porridge because that way I can add whatever topping I’m feeling😊

For most people, nutrition is eating period. In true sense, food can make or break unless you do not realize the concept of moderation and how much is enough. The problem with us is that we always manage to over do especially food. Everything is good and healthy if consumed in moderation. MODERATION IS THE KEY.
