Formal suits

What is a good formal men’s suit? In my opinion it is a timeless piece that makes its owner look classy, sophisticated, and good. I am not an expert on suits because I didn’t experiment with them alot before, but here is a few guidelines that you can follow to get yourself a good suit. First you need to find a shop that is suitable to your price range, but you should know that usually in suits the more you pay the more you get back in quality, unless you are shopping at Armani πŸ˜…. Formal suits are meant to have a slight shine to them, so you are better off staying away from matte suits, and you should check it the cut of the suit and the threading, don’t get anything that is too boxy or with visible threads showing off. Also you can always ask for information about the suit’s fabric and how it was made, because obviously the better the fabric is and the making phase of the suit the better the suit is, it like buying a tshirt, tshirts with cheap and synthetic fabric will shrink and fade away quickly, while tshirts with great quality fabrics tend to last way longer. So think of it as an investment, if you are going to buy a suit it is worth paying more because the better the suit it, the longer it will last, especially that you don’t need a lot of suits in your wardrobe, one solid grey or navy blue suit is usually enough to help you survive a lot of the formal events you may attend. Finally as usual it is all about the fit gentlemen, the better the suit fits you the better it will look on you, now there is shops out there that tailor a new whole new suit on your measurements, but I don’t have any experience with these shops to recommend you guys a specific thing, but in most suit shops nowadays, even if you are buying a suit off the rack they can get it tailored to fit you better than it is original fit, so if you want your suit to make you look dynamite I advise you to get it tailored, and allow the tailor to get your measurements, because a formal suit fits differently than your normal jacket or blazer, and the slacks need a bit of space so they don’t end up looking like leggings. And in one of the upcoming blogs you will be able to read about the accessories that you can wear with your suit to make it look better. Invest smartly in your suits gentleman! πŸ‘”πŸ‘Œ Qotd: Where do you like to shop when you are looking for formal wear?
